Pet Therapy Visits Grade 2
Pet Therapy, also known as Animal-Assisted Therapy, has been recognized for its numerous benefits in various settings, including schools. Research has shown that interactions with animals can have a profound positive impact on emotional well-being, social skills development, and academic performance.
Mrs. Clark and her Grade 2 students had the pleasure of welcoming a certified therapy dog named Bandit and his handler Nevada into their classroom. During their visit, students had the opportunity to interact with Bandit in a controlled and supervised environment. These interactions included petting, reading to Bandit and observing his behaviors.
